Hello Crafters! I hope your doing well.
Welcome to March and the month where we feature Uniquely Creative. I am a massive fan of UC and believe it or not I've actually never played with the collection's I'm using this month. In saying this however as always I had heaps of fun creating with it!
This Month I'm using a mixture of two popular UC Collections "Choose your own Adventure" and "True North" and this is my first Inspiration for March!
With this layout I knew playing with the shapes of photos was something I defiantly wanted to do in order to match the shapes in some of the ephemera.
So using a bit of tech skills and mobile apps I was able to print my photos out within a circle in a couple of different sizes. It just makes such a cool feature to your layout.
(View in main pictures how I've used the circle photos)
I started by using a piece of "The Story Layer Cuts", This was the base of my layout.
I've also used a second piece of the same paper and cut out all the fussy cut elements.
Using up some of the 1/2 Inch strips from the bottom of other papers, I layered these along the bottom of my layout - so often these get throw out or forgotten about, and It was nice to use them up.
Use lots of ephemera in clusters all over the layout some mounted and some flat as it creates so much interest
How cute are these little tea bags?? They make wonderful little pockets for tags and extra journaling space. Use strong double sided tape and build a little stack of ephemera on top of the tea bag. (Don't use glue, your tea bag will stick together and it will defeat the purpose of it holding a tag.)
Using twine on top of your tag will make it easier to pull in and out to read the hidden journaling.
Using the 'Journey Paper' I've cut two 4"x4" inch mats distressed the edges and then attached photos and other fussy cut elements including my tea bag pocket.
I Finished up my layout with a large Adventure title that was in my ephemera pack, and by flicking some black ink across the page (don't forget to cover your photos while doing this)
Thank you so much for reading along today, I hope I've inspired you to create something a little bit different!
