Celebr8 Love Story - Love You With All My Heart

 Hi everyone,

Debra here again to share with you my next Project for June.
I have again been using the beautiful Celebr8 Love Story paper  to create my layout
"Love You With All My Heart".

Since my theme was all about love I chose to use the hearts paper with the plainer green cardstock , as it toned with my photo. A bit of distressing around the green cardstock and I am ready to layer all the elements which I have previously fussy cut.

Layering all the elements is always trial and error, place them and move around until you are happy with them.

I chose the Love you with all my heart card from the cut apart sheet, perfect for a layout about my family.

I lightly coloured my Uniquely Creative Laser Cut element with a light grey archival ink as I didn't want this too overpower the rest of the layout.

I was pleased with how everything came together, the Studio 73 Strawberry milkshake Blossoms were the perfect finishing touch for my layout.

I hope I have inspired you to get creative.

 Until next time
  Debra

Introducing ......

Good morning how are you? We have a pretty exciting day here with Craft on the Run adding to our little family with.... We would like to introduce you to the a New Design Team Member.

She will be sharing their designs and inspirations with us over the next 6 months.

I would like to congratulate her and say....

Jacquie Hay

After the recent Sugar High Cyber Crop Jacquie's entries just blew us away and we knew we needed her to join our team.

My Name is Jacquie Hay and I live in Melbourne Victoria. I am married and a Mum of three. My daughter is 26 and I have two sons 24 & 21.

I love scrapbooking and have been doing it for 20 years. I love to scrapbook my family and also my fur family. We have a dog, two cats and a couple of horses. I recently made a family history album as my Husband loves to research family history.

My favourite things to do is fussy cutting and adding stitching to my layouts. Although I am mainly a 12 x 12 layout scrapbooker I occasionally make a few cards and I love to make mini albums.

I love doing challenges and look forward to sharing my work on the blog and participating in future cyber crops here at Craft On The Run.

I look forward to chatting with everyone in Craft On The Run Chit Chat.

Heres some of Jacquie's amazing work

Welcome to the Team xxxxx

Mintay - Nightfall - Cards - DT Robyn Leeanne

 Hello Chit Chatters.....

Robyn Leeanne here with you for my next project for the month of June.

I do hope you were able to be crafty with us at our cyber crop during June.

Anyways this month I have a some cards for you for a change that I did with the new Mintay Nightfall collection, which as you know by now is just stunning.

I started with selecting my blank cards and I thought I would use the new Mintay Fancy Cards.

Its always nice to try something new.

Today I have 3 cards for you.

Card 1

I started by using a diecut I had made for the base of the card.
I also inked some cabochons for decorations later.

The back edge of the card is an offcut of the original diecut.
I used this to accentuate the edge of the card
The I thought about using the Mintay lasercuts heart but never did on card one as it was to much fussiness.

In the end I decided on a simple diecut oval (Uniquely creative Die) and a diecut "Happy Birthday"
"Happy Birthday" was colored Gold same as the added cabochons.
In the end it was quite simple but I have to admit I struggled a little with it.

Card 2

Again I have used Mintay Fancy Card blank, I glue a piece of the nightfall collection paper on the decorative side and knife cut the pattern into the nightfall paper.
The Rose in the center came from my stash, I have been waiting a long time to find the right place for that.

Then along with a line of bling through the center of the front and the other half being very plain I thought it would make a nice "thoughtful" type of card. Which is why I added the colored sentiment "Thinking of you"

Nice and elegantly simple don't you think.

Card 3

Well by the time I got to card 3 I had decided to use up the scrap pieces from the first 2 cards.
So strips of Mintays nightfall and of cardstock were left from the die cutting.
The strips of cardstock were put down with foam mount tape. and again the edge trimmed to the pattern that is already on the Mintay fancy card blanks.

Then I added the Mintay lasercut heart and sentiment,
both colored with oxides, to complete the card.

I hope my cards inspires you to have a play with these very pretty papers and great lasercuts from the Mintay Nightfall collection.
