November Christmas Blind Crop Reveal - Debra Beer

 HI Everyone

          Hope you all enjoyed the Christmas Cyber Crop.

          Now is time time to reveal the layout for the blind crop. Thought I would do a step by step  for the layout, so everyone could see how I put it together.


                                                     Here is my original layout.



                                                   Craft on the Run Blind Crop

                       Hi, it is Debra here tonight to guide you through this blind crop.

                                   We are going to get all the cutting done first.

                         The first measurement give will be across, the second is down.

                                                          Have fun everyone…..


                                                             Step  1

                                      Trim your photo down to 5 ¼ inch x 3 ¾ inches



                                      Next step, cutting your white cardstock



                                                   Step 2.

                                       Now to cut the white Cardstock

      2A. Gut the cardstock leaving a 1 inch frame and a 10 inch square.  Put the frame aside.

      2B. Using the white 10 inch square , gut this piece leaving a 1 inch frame and an 8 inch square. Put the frame aside.

      2C. From the 8 inch white cardstock square, cut a photo mat 5 ½ inches x 4 inches. Put aside.

      2D. Cut 2 pieces of white cardstock 4 inches x 2 ¼ inches, 

            Then 4 pieces 2 1/4 x ½ inch, put all these pieces aside

            You should now have 9 white pieces put aside.


                                           Next we cut the coloured cardstock



                                                          Step 3.

Using your coloured sheet of cardstock, cut ¾ inch off 2 adjoining sides,

leaving an 11 ¼ inch square

      3A. Using your coloured square, gut the piece leaving a 1 inch frame, put this frame aside

      3B. now cut a photo mat from the coloured cardstock 5 ¾ inches by 4 ¼ inches.

      3c. Cut  4 pieces 2 1/4 x ½ inch

          You should now have 6 pieces of coloured cardstock


                                                   Next we cut the Patterned paper




                                                                      Step 4.     

                                     Now we are going to cut the patterned paper.

         4A. Cut the patterned paper to a 10 inch square. Put aside

         4B From the left over pieces cut 2 pieces 4 inches x 2 ¼ inches. Put aside.

                                              You should have 5 pieces.

                                                    And that is all the cutting ,

                                                   Now to start assembling.



                                                                  Step 5.

         A.Take your patterned paper square and adhere to the centre of the smaller White frame.

         B. Now adhere this piece to the centre of the coloured card stock frame

         C. now adhere this piece to the centre of the last white frame.

           You should now have a 12 x 12 page made up of 4 layers.




                                                              Step 6.

        A. Now take your photo that you cut down earlier, first mount on the white photo mat,

followed by the coloured cardstock photo mat




           B. now take your white 4x 2 ¼ pieces , adhere to the bottom left hand corner

 and top right hand corner of your photo, adhering to the coloured photo mat ,

leaving ¼ inch showing.

           C. Repeat the step above using the patterned paper pieces.



    

     7. Apply foam mounting tape to the back of your photo piece, not too close to the edges.

Adhere the photo 2 ¼ inches in from the left side and 3 ½ inches down from the

 (measurements are from the very outer edge of the coloured paper pieces)


                                                                Step 8.

     Take the remaining white pieces slip in under the photo where the patterned paper ends.

Then do the same with the coloured cardstock, overlapping the white pieces slightly and a little longer than the white pieces.



                                                                      Step 9.  

      Take your fussy cut pieces tuck one under the top left hand corner of your photo.

Take the second piece , using mounting tape overlap the photo in the bottom right hand corner.



                                                         Step 10. 

Take your title and adhere  over your fussy cut piece in the bottom right hand corner.


                                                         Step 11.

 Now the final simple step, place your enamel dots/ sequins randomly ether side of the fussy cut pieces ,
