"Amazing" Stamperia Interactive layout Tutorial - Crystal DT

Hello Everyone!
Wow hasn't Stamperia month been amazing?!
I'm so inspired by my fellow DT members to keep creating with these beautiful Stamperia ranges.

Today I'm going to show you how I created this fun interactive layout,
I've used the  Stamperia - Lady Vagabond collection once again. Its such a diverse range with many options for travel photos!

TIP - To match the vintage feel of the papers, before printing my photos I changed all of them to a sepia tone.

Front - Closed
Inside - Open

Firstly your going to take your pattern paper #1 from your paper pad, this will be the base of your layout (as pictured below)

Take a 12x12 piece of Brown Cardstock and cut at 6 1/2''x12'' and place left over cardstock to one side.
On your 6 1/2''x12'' Brown cardstock - score at 1/2'' on the longer side to create your fold.
Using your preferred adhesive, adhere to the underside of your Patterned paper #1 base on the left hand side
.
See Pictures below

Next we are going to cover the front of the cardstock, to do this you will need to find the  pattern paper below in your paper pad.

Using your trimmer cut out the two squares that have the clocks printed on them.
Distress the edges and lightly ink around them with Vintage Photo - Oxide Ink.
Once completed adhere these down to the front of your cardstock leaving a small boarder.

At this stage your layout should be looking something like the picture below, you can now cut your photos to suit leaving them square or trimming them into circles for a very cool effect.
 Distress photos before sticking down.

Now that the front cover of your layout is complete its at this point when its time to do the inside,
Taking the patterned paper #2 pictured below, cut a 5 3/4"x11 3/4" piece, this will be used to cover the other side of your cardstock - Distress and Ink.
Place remaining paper to one side.

Here is where we need to make a pocket before sticking your patterned paper #2 down.
Taking your left over brown cardstock from earlier on, cut a 5 1/2''x7'' piece.
Score 1/2'' in on both of the long sides and score 1/2'' in on one of the short sides
(see pictures below)

Once completing your folds, Adhere double sided tape to the inside of each fold

Then Adhere to the bottom of your pre-cut 5 3/4"x11 3/4" patterned paper #2

Now your pocket is complete you can adhere this piece to the inside of your brown cardstock door leaving a small boarder around the edges.

Take remaining pattered paper #2 and cut a 5 3/4"x4 3/4'' piece. Distress and Ink.
Adhere to the top of pocket leaving a small boarder

Hopefully now your layout looks like the picture below...

Taking your Vintage Photo Oxide spray create a
splattered effect across your papers and let dry

Taking a second piece of brown cardstock, you want to cut a 5''x5'' piece, this will be used as your photo mat for under the door, distress edges and stick down to patterned paper #1.

Placement should be 1'' in from LHS and 3 1/2'' down from the top.
Trim your photo to suit and stick down with you preferred adhesive to cardstock leaving a small boarder.

Using the remaining brown cardstock, you want to cut a piece 5 3/4''x3 3/4''.
Distress the edges and this is ready for a "book'' cut out (see picture below) to be adhered to it.

Next you want to stick down patterned paper #1, this should be 1'' from RHS and 2'' down from top of paper.

Your layout background should now be coming together.
Using the picture for reference below, you want to cut all embellishments from the cut out sheets in your 12x12 paper pad.

** The above cut out is used for journaling and I've placed it inside the pocket page.

** NOTE some cut outs I have mounted to brown cardstock to give the raised illusion and also I wanted them to pop off the page.

Using your different cut outs, place around the bottom left corner of your photo between the photo and your book cut out.

Add some metal cogs/chipboard and embellishments to create different textures and interest to the page and inside photo.

Please use below photos for reference of placement

Finish up your layout by hand drawing some stitching around each page.

Thank you for following along today.
