"Hello" Baby Girl - DT Crystal Watts

Hey Crafters!
Crystal back here on the blog today, and well its getting closer and closer to our family welcoming some little girls! So this layout was super fun to create as its going to go into one of the beautiful girl albums that Nanny/Gigi is creating (AKA Jodie - Owner of COTR)

Here is the Layout I'll be taking you through to create today, its made up of a new style even I have been adapting to, involving using up those scraps to create a beautiful layout.
I'll be using Uniquely Creative - Hey Baby Girl

Firstly you want to start by taking a piece of the Bundle of Joy - Uniquely Creative cut off the barcode strip and your ready to start.
* Inking Background is optional -  Here I have chosen to use my Kitsch Flamingo - Distress Oxide sprayed with water onto a clear acetate and then pressed onto the pattern paper.

Next I've taken some of the left overs from both Little Angel - Uniquely Creative and Precious Lullaby - Uniquely Creative.
The Stripes are torn at approximately 4 1/2'' x 6 1/2'' and the dots on the right are approximately 4 1/2'' x 3'' with sanded edges.
Dots on the left are just a torn left over of approximately 1 1/2''
Using the picture below as a guide adhere these down with double sided tape to cover different areas of the page.

Next you want to take a colored piece of card - I have used a green and tear a piece approximately 2 1/2'' x 4'' this will be foam mounted to the right hand side of the stripes overlapping.
Taking your Precious Lullaby paper you want to now trim down to 6x7'' and sand the edges, then adhere to your base with foam mount tape as shown below overlapping all your layers.

Your last layer involves taking some of your Little Angel paper and creating an approximate cut of 3x6'' and tearing the top to match the other pieces.
Adhere this with foam mount tape over the top of Precious Lullaby towards the left hand side using the picture as a guide.

Now I don't have my photos yet so I've Improvised with white cardstock to create photo mats these are 3x4'' and have been adhered with both double sided tape and foam tape angled over your Floral piece of cardstock.

Now the hard parts done, the fun begins and this means embellishment time!
I'm sure if you don't like fussy cutting this next part you could improvise with the collectables, but I did cut these flora's from a piece of the Sweet Girl paper. Adhering them to both the bottom left of your photos and a single floral piece from under your layers with some foam mount tape.

Using some of the tabs and tags from the collectables I've simply adhered these down with foam tape from under my photo mat overlapping the floral piece finishing this cluster with a little teddy bear.
Your layout should be looking something like the below picture.

Here I've added in two little girl bunnies one to follow the base paper and one to sit along side mounted with foam.

Add on your title now, as you can see I have used the "hello" collectable but feel free to use what ever suits your photos and layout best. Covering over the floral, mounted with foam.

I had these beautiful little tassels and these pastel pink flowers laying around in my stash along with some twine so just create more layers and intricate details with things you may need to use up.

Well your layout is nearly complete... but no layout is complete without a little bit of bling! As you can see I've used some pearl beads, rhinestones and some of the new bubble beads from UC.

Finished off with some Crystal Stickles amongst the flowers and to highlight areas on the Collectables.

Your layout is now complete!

Thank you so much for following along and hopefully I've inspired you to create a layout just like this one!
Don't be afraid to get messy, and to layer, also to just have fun when your creating!
