Cards with Jenny - Slimline using Serendipity Collection from Uniquely Creative

CARDS WITH JENNY - SLIMLINE

Hello Again Chit Chatters

Jenny with you again to share three cards using the new Slim Stitched Nesting DiesSlim Fancy Borders Die and Slim Doily Border from Uniquely Creative. They fit the new slimline cards from Uniquely Creative perfectly and are extremely versatile. I have used the Serendipity collection from Uniquely Creative to make the cards. All products can be purchased from Craft on the Run.

Card 1

Using two contrast cardstock sheets cut each of the Slim Stitched Nesting Dies in alternative colours. These are then layered up on a Slimline Card from Uniquely Creative.

Before mounting the top piece wind some string around the ends. Cut out a sentiment from one of the cut out sheets and mount with Foam Mount Tape.

Mount the doily from the creative cuts on the left hand side just overlapping the sentiment. Embellish with a rhinestone in the middle. Flowers can also be used in place of the doily.

Your card is now complete.

Card 2

This card is also made using the slimline cards from Uniquely Creative. First cut a piece of black cardstock the same size as the card and mount to the base. For the patterned paper I only had 6" x 6" paper from this range so I cut a piece in half. I then joined the two pieces and mounted a contrast strip over the top of the join. Mount this onto the black cardstock leaving a thin black border.

Using one of the Slim Fancy Borders Die cut a strip in contrast cardstock and mount this to the left hand side of the card. Die cut a sentiment and a flower in rose gold mirror board and mount the sentiment to the top of the card and the flower to the lower section of the card.

TIP

When die cutting intricate words or patterns add some double sided sticker paper to the back of the cardstock before running to die cutting machine. When it come time to adhere just peel off the paper on the remaining side and stick - just like a sticker)

Tie a small bow and mount to the base of the die cut flowers.

Your card is now complete.

Card 3

This card is a little more complicated however the end result is worth the effort. Using a pink cardstock cut with the slim doily die from Uniquely Creative. Mount this to the base of the card.

To make the middle section cut a strip wide enough to fit between the lace. Cut a hole in the centre and mount some acetate to the inside to make the window. On the reverse of this strip put a ring around the circle using Foam Mount Tape.

TIP

Snip the tape along the edge part of the way through to allow the tape to curve.

Cut a piece of patterned paper larger than the window but smaller than the middle section. Mount a sentiment onto this using Foam Mount Tape. With the middle section upside down fill with sequins. Remove the top layer from the Foam Mount Tape and place the patterned piece onto the tape making sure that the sentiment is level. Use Foam Mount Tape to then mount this section to the centre of the card.

Embellish with a selection of creative cuts to the top and bottom of the card. Add some rhinestones for some sparkle.

Your card is now complete.
