Mintay - Nightfall - Layout - DT Robyn Leeanne

 Hello Chit Chatters.....

Robyn Leeanne here with you for the month of June.

I do hope you have been able to be crafty during June.

As you may already be aware we at Craft on the Run have a very busy month ahead.

Craft on the Run is having a Cyber Crop on the weekend of the 12th and 13th June.

If you would like to join us for heaps of fun and challenges just request to join the Craft on the Run Chit Chatters Group. I will be there doing the Blind Crop.

Anyways this month I have a layout for you that I did with the new Mintay Nightfall collection, which by the way is just stunning.

I started with selecting the papers I would use with a slight idea in mind.

Then it was about cutting and placing what I wanted were.
There were a few different variations until I settled on the one above.

Ok now its time to get the variation I liked stuck down.
Some as you can see I used foam tape to elevate slightly.

Then came the photo for me.
This pose from my 2 girls was just perfect.

Now my friends Mintay are making there own lasercuts. This being the doily in the pictures.
They are very sturdy and easy to use.
I cut the doily in half for this layout, the other half I can use later.

Mintay are also doing the words in there lasercuts which I have used on this layout.
They are big and take color well.
The picture below shows original coloring and the ones above have been lightly colored using oxides.
I have also added a little bling in the form of some diamante's and sequins.

And here my friends is the finished product.
I must say it is lovely and easy to work with such a beautiful collection.

I hope it inspires you to have a go with this very pretty papers and great lasercuts from the Mintay Nightfall collection.

Girl Squad

Good morning how are you? I am here today for Craft on the Run, and yes I know its been awhile, stupid lack of mojo will do that to you but I am here to share this amazing collection which is IN STORE NOW, Mintays Glam Rock !!!

I have to say this collection has been out for a little while but I have spent the time fussy cutting and then I just sat it aside because lets face it this stunning collection can be a little intimidating and with that feeling not a lot of creating can happen.

But once you get past that feeling oohhhh the fun you will have with this collection !!!!

So to start things off I used a white cut file title and to see this and many more why dont you pop into the store for an exclusive purchase - you can only see these in store only.

Now once you have your large title, you can think about changing the colour, I really love a metallic gold and with mist/inks I just found it was a little yellow, so this is where alcohol inks come into there own... there mica pigments really grab and shine with a lux effect,  mean who doesnt love gold right?

The little crown is made of paper clay in a mold to add the wow factor paint it also with alcohol ink......

Dont forget while you have your ink on your brush flick it over your page.

Also have dedicated brush for your ink...... because it cant be used for anything else, you can soften it for the next time you use it with the same colour in or isopropyl alcohol which you can pick up at any hardware store.

Dont have the right gold embellishment? Why not hit it with some alcohol ink?

Dont be afraid of layering your photo over your large cut outs.... your brain will automatically fill in the missing letter so you still can read it.

I have been scrapping for about 25 years, I prefer 12x12 pages and occasionally I will make cards. My style varies depending on my mood. I love Mixed Media, Shabby Chic, fussy cutting and more.... my hands are always covered in ink and texture paste.

I love entering challenges and pushing myself to achieve something a little different.

I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead, and joining everyone at Craft on the Run Chit Chat.

Welcome to the team - Debra xxxx
