Memories Frame

Memories Frame
Created for Made with Memories

Products used
Prima Engraver Collection papers and flowers.
Dusty Attic Chipboard Scrolls
Glossy Accents
Ribbon
Charm
Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap
Smooch - Vanilla Shimmer

I love to take old wooden photo frames and upcycle them with inspirational quotes.
As this was designed for Made with Memories, I thought the quote fitted perfectly and it would be a beautiful addition to the shop wall.

As the papers where quite dark, I wanted to lighten the frame up, so I took out my trusty Tim Holtz sanding block and went to town. I love the effect.

The chipboard scroll was inked with Frayed Burlap and then covered in Glossy Accents and lightly sanded.
Picture is a little blurry sorry.

Finally I finished off with the Prima flowers and added a little charm to the centre and then took the ribbon and stapled it to the back of the frame for hanging purposes.
Lastly I then used my glossy accents to cover the words and then spritzed it with smooch vanilla shimmer.

It's always a pleasure to share someone's memories

We Got It Going On

This layout is titled ...We Got It Going On
As some of you maybe aware, I am in the process of completing my wedding album and if you haven't already guessed I am a huge Bon Jovi fan, so therefore all my layouts have Bon Jovi song titles.

My colour theme is red, white and black so when I had these beautiful papers from the Prima engravers collection to work with, I knew they would fit with my album theme perfectly.

This is the first page.
Prima & Kaiser flowers used.

This is the second page.
Wax seals & thickers letters.

My apologies for the photo's being sideways, not sure why I can't rotate them.

I am very happy with the end result.

Tattered Floral Birdcage

It's that time again where another month is nearing it's end and I have been madly designing.
My inspiration this month was from the Prima Engravers Collection of papers, flowers and brads.
This little birdcage got a make over. Too cute.
After seeing a post from Tim Holtz using his Tattered floral die and some distress paints, I was inspired to break out my die and see what I could with it.

This is the finished flower using Prima Engraver Collection Papers & Brads.
Prima flower, Tim Holtz Cog.

These ticket tags are inked with Versa Pinecone.

The blue lace border is prima. This was purchased in the States.

I love the end result.

I am what I Choose to Become

Here is another layout completed using the left over papers from the Kaisercraft 45c collection.

I really like this picture of myself and it was a selfie, which I am not good at taking, so was very happy with the end result. I also think it really suited the layout. I used part of a tag from the collection of papers. I loved what it said.
Another favourite is the black script washi tape. It's my new obsession and think it lends itself well to these papers.

Another of my favourites is my dymo machine. I picked it up for $5 at the reject shop a few years ago, but I love that it is quick and easy to journal pages with.

The black lace flowers used in this layout where from a headband picked up at a discount store. I love to search these places for cheap embellishments. The silver flower was picked up from Scrap It, Flaunt It in Kelmscott. I am not sure of the brand.

I really like the way this page all came together and was very happy that it took me less than an hour too. Normally I sit for hours trying to fit everything together. On this particular day, it was like it almost fell onto the page. My creativity was definately flowing.

Well I hope you have all enjoyed my first month of creating for Made with Memories and I look forward to the next challenge.

Take care and happy scrapping
